Did you know that PTSD and Concussion have substantially overlapping symptoms? It makes diagnosis very difficult, yet it’s important because they have such different treatment pathways. However, while the symptoms overlap, the underlying brain activity is different between the two injuries, and MYndspan’s very own Dr.’s Jing Zhang, PhD and Benjamin Dunkley have written the first study to employ MEG (a brain scanner that maps brain activity with millimetre and millisecond accuracy) to reliably differentiate the two! This demonstrates the potential of using ‘invisible’ Brain Activity to understand and differentiate these two debilitating conditions.
